Second monitor not getting detected - amd radeon hd 7800 series gpu

Greetings, purchased a second monitor for the starting time time ever today, so never really done this earlier and I'm a complete nab on stuff like this. I'one thousand connecting my main monitor using a DVI cable, and its working fine, and I'm connecting the new monitor using a VGA cablevision, and that monitor is not working. It's basically blackness, and if I power it off and then back on it gives me the bulletin "no indicate detected" and goes black. My graphics card is AMD Radeon 7800 series, driver has the latest updates (today ones). What could be going wrong? What should I endeavor?
UPDATE: Simply realized my VGA port is not working past unplugging the piece of work DVI-cabled monitor and plugging it using the VGA port. (the monitor supports both DVI and VGA, the new one supports only VGA, still). How should I keep?

Did you lot set information technology up in your Display settings?
Hey, yes I had done that, I've been searching online for about two-3 hours now. Read the update, apparently that's the problem.

dvi or hdmi to vga adapter. May have had one in your GPU box when information technology was new.

Aforementioned here. I bought a vga to dvi adapter but my calculator doesn't recognize it. I unplug the vga cablevision which is connected to my master monitor to see if estimator will detect it if it is the only one that is plugged in but then again... none. Pls help. Been searching the whole day at present for the answer.
